Neal Martin, July 2020

  • The 2018 Chablis Vaugiraut 1er Cru, aged for 9 months in wooden barrel, has the most appealing bouquet among Pinson’s 2018s, featuring delicate, well-defined flinty and smoky aromas that are nicely focused. The palate is well balanced, presenting a citric entry based on sour lemon and orange peel. Good tension and energy follow, leading into a spicy, stem-ginger-tinged finish. Excellent.
